What with the beautiful weather today my thoughts turn to what I will be wearing this summer...
I want this dress- belted or not this length or short - I know I'd wear it tonnes |
love these pants |
A closer look at the shoes- Manolo Blahnik- if only he'd would make them again!I want them. |

I didn't get the job...
here's another view |
Comptoir Libanais a cool place to go and some of its customers....
Almost right outside South Kensington tube is' Comptoir Libanais'- the new paved walkway area is such a vast improvement. Go to 'Comptoir Libanais', I highly recommend it.... |
I saw Bianca Cork ( who works with military clothing) and Trinity Tristan( fashion designer) enjoying a fag and a beverage on one of the tables outside posing somewhat beautifically. |

Ahh...the smell of it and it looks great too
This candle is by Voluspa- delicious smelling and great looking packaging. Find them at http://www.amara.co.uk/ for £29.99. |
floors and ceilings
and another floor in France.
These encaustic patterned tiles are from Fired Earth as were the previous but my quote came to £730.50. a whole lot cheaper but I was hoping for something in the region of £350! |
I'm also stockpiling possible wallpapers for my hall . I want to paper the ceiling so it needs to work all ways up... I rather like the idea of geometric floor in one space and geometric ceiling elsewhere...
This is Neisha Crosland |
This is Neisha Crosland- I love it. I've also got a feeling that small repeats are coming back after all the really large scale wallpapers that have been around. |
This is Kelly Wearstler for Schumacher trellis design |
This trellis is Manuel canovas. Same formation as the Morrocan tile above. I really like this and I now think it might be a strong contender in the kitchen.... rather than the hall ceiling. |

style and outfit-which boots?
I'm meeting a client later to do her spring wardrobe.it seems fairly premature on a day like to today!! This is what I'm wearing, but I can't decide which boots...it's a tiny detail, but do the beige say spring is coming or are the black better?!
I'm wearing a peasant shirt that I've washed so much its faded( I like it) and an 80's dark brown leather skirt, my trusty 70's 'lock and co' hat and either the black or beige boots.....
It's started to snow so I've plumped for the black as they have arubber sole and slightly lower heeel. Falling over is not chic( although I am accident prone and my childhood nickname was accident 'prune'!)

style and outfit for my job interview !!
And so another job interview- this is what I wore..'Maje' swingy coat and a fur collar, shorts, bugundy cashmere and wool tights and my 70's oxblood boots, 'lock and co hat'( courtesy of M.I.L) and black bag.
interview didn't last too long so I had a bit of time left. So I thought I'd take a stroll down one of my favourite streets on the way home-Elizabeth Street in Victoria/Belgravia. It's door to door luxury along here, with price tags to match!
I started at 'Les Senteurs'purveyor of fine scents and where I buy my all time favourite....I might divulge, but not today.
'Poilane'- man cannot survive on bread alone- well, frankly you might have to if you shop here all the time!
'The Thomas Cubitt'. I really like this place, although it's so English there is something French about the tables outside and the slightly Parisienne cafe feel to the place.
Harry's(dub the hub-my husband that is)favourite...even though he's wearing patches to give up smoking...for a special occaision.
The window of the fabulous chemist. It stocks really rather fabulous scented candles by Rigaud. So chic in their black and white zebra boxes-I'll get a picture next time of them, DUH!
and 'Peggy Porschen'- my daughter Flo (4.5) thinks this place is amazing- totally pink and poodle and fluffy cakes!

Bad Hair Day- Solution!!
You probably all know this, but this stuff really is amazing. Suddenly I have big hair with body as opposed to flat, lank and really rather lifeless pre spritz. Granted theres something about it that makes it seem like the hair equivalent of the 'tarts shower' (another squirt of perfume, instead of a shower!).Ive even tried it on clean hair and it helps....Buy it at Boots, £2.99 ( I prefer the smell of the original- but there are loads of others to try, which I'm working my way through!)
